Dear friend,
Thank you for completing the Discovery Tools self-assessment resource. We are
glad that God is confirming His call in your life to church planting.
Today, North America is one of the largest mission fields in the world. The
North American Mission Board (NAMB) estimates the lost population of the United
States at approximately 200 million, which is 70 percent of the total population.
Canadas population is approximately 31 million with an estimated lost population
of 28 million. Cultural and ethnic diversity continues to increase in North
America while mainstream society departs further from the Christian worldview.
The following links will help you understand how the NAMB may assist you in
fulfilling Gods call in your life to church planting.
- First, is a Biographical Information Form. Please
supply the appropriate information and submit it to us at your earliest convenience.
If you so desire, we will use the information you provide on this form to
help connect you with state, Canadian, and associational leaders who are looking
for church planters.
- Second, is a list of Church Planting Positions for
those wishing to plant new churches and a list of positions for those interested
in a church planting / missions career. These lists demonstrate the variety
of pathways available through the NAMBs partnerships with State Conventions
and Canada to participate in church planting.
- Third, is contact information for State and Canadian Convention Church
Planting Leaders.[1] This information will assist you in making
contacts with State Leaders. After you have decided upon a state where you
believe God is calling you, please contact the State Director of Missions
in that state and make him aware of your interests and ask him what church
planting opportunities presently exist. A list of upcoming church planting
training events is available at Church Planting Training Events.[2]
- Fourth, click here to find academic training through the Nehemiah
Project at the seven SBC seminaries in North America. Or, click here
to find information about the Nehemiah Partnership, helping
over 60 colleges and seminaries provide quality church planting training to
interested students.
- Finally, if you are interested in planting an SBC church, we have some free
resources available for you. In order to further assist you in your call
to church planting, you can choose some church planting resources you want
to receive. These materials will greatly assist you as you continue to pursue
Gods call to church planting. We will gladly ship them to you at no charge.

Our desire is to serve you and help connect you with state and Canadian church
planting leaders who are looking for people just like you. The North American
Mission Board does not deploy church planters, we just help our state and Canadian
partners to do so. We would consider it a privilege if we can help connect
you with the right people.
